I verified I had the correct ohm readings (according to my service manual) for the pickup coil (Trigger) but have done nothing else with it. So, I have replaced the coil and CDI, verified my Kill switch works correctly, verified no grounds and good continuity in all of the wires. OK, so I replaced the CDI, still no good. Look for the whole package deal, everything like regulator, rectifier, coil and plug wire, relay, and a plug. I crammed some nonconductive material on each side of the plastic shuttle (contains metal contacts) and now it shouldn't work, or cause the no spark issue.įor under $30 you can buy every electrical component to replace. I disconnected my kill switch because it didn't seem to consistently operate and I didn't want to have to mess with it again. And if you press the kill switch it should return the shuttle to center. Look under that plate and you should have a switch plate that moves a shuttle back and forth, don't lose the ball detent and spring, but shift the shuttle to center. You'll probably have to remove a metal plate in the left hand control panel thing. Or take your left hand control box thingy apart that contains the kill switch and check that the shuttle is centered. First press in the Kill Switch to return shuttle to center.
